Disclosure: FynHelp publishes this comparison and makes one of the products in it. We have tried to be fair: every competitor fact below is taken from the vendor's own pages or a public listing, with the source and month named, and we say where each product is the better choice. Check prices with each vendor before you buy; they change.

    How we compared

    • Fits Indian books: reads Tally and Zoho Books data and Indian bank statement formats.
    • Matching depth: exact, close and split-payment matching, with reasons for unmatched lines.
    • Control: does it write into the ledger, and can a partner review before anything changes?
    • Beyond reconciliation: document collection and the monthly MIS.
    • Pricing model: per client, per user or by quote, and whether it is published.

    FynHelp

What it is: month-end close software built for CA firms. It collects client documents, reads bank statements (PDF, Excel, scans) and Tally or Zoho exports, reconciles bank to books in five stages (exact, same day, close, firm rules, split payments), and drafts a monthly MIS from matched lines only, with every figure linked to its source.

Strengths: exception queue with a reason on every unmatched line; never writes to Tally; partner sign-off and correction workflow; client document follow-ups by email and WhatsApp link; per-client pricing with unlimited users. Measured recon time: a median of 72 ms per client-month in our tests.

Limits: it does not post vouchers into Tally (by design), and it does not yet match GSTR-2B invoice by invoice. A young product: no third-party reviews yet.

Choose it if your firm closes 15 to 100+ clients a month and wants reconciliation and the MIS in one place. Pricing · How Recon works.

    Suvit

What it is: Tally automation for data entry. Per the vendor and ICAI's member-benefits page (October 2026), it imports bank statements in PDF, image, Excel and CSV, maps columns to Tally fields, recognises recurring entries, and offers GST reconciliation reports including GSTR-2A/2B. ICAI members get 50% off.

Strengths: deep Tally focus; strong where the problem is getting entries into Tally at all.

Limits: it is built around posting into Tally rather than reviewing matches before they reach the books; no monthly MIS focus found in public material.

Choose it if your firm does the client's bookkeeping in Tally from scratch each month.

    AI Accountant

What it is: accounting automation for Indian firms. The vendor describes two-way sync with Tally and Zoho (masters and vouchers), bank reconciliation, and GSTR-2B reconciliation with missing-invoice detection and vendor follow-ups. Capterra India showed no published price in October 2026; the vendor mentions a free trial.

Strengths: broad scope across bookkeeping, bank and GST; multi-client management under one login.

Limits: no public pricing; most material describing it is from the vendor itself. Two-way sync means changes flow into the ledger, which some firms want and others do not.

Choose it if you want one tool that also posts to Tally or Zoho and does GSTR-2B matching.

    TallyPrime's built-in bank reconciliation

What it is: the reconciliation screen inside Tally, which can import bank statements for supported formats and match them to vouchers.

Strengths: no extra cost or tool; data never leaves Tally.

Limits: one company at a time; no firm-wide view of which clients are reconciled; no MIS or document collection.

Choose it if you have a handful of clients with clean statements.

    Zoho Books' built-in reconciliation

What it is: bank feeds and matching rules inside Zoho Books.

Strengths: works well when the client's books already live in Zoho and bank feeds are connected.

Limits: per organisation, not per firm; does not help with Tally clients.

    Xenett

What it is: a review and close tool for accounting firms. Its help centre (October 2026) lists an AI Review plan at about $7.50 per client per month and a Workflow plan at about $10; its listings name QuickBooks Online and Xero as the supported ledgers.

Choose it if your clients are on QuickBooks Online or Xero. For Tally-based Indian books, see the FynHelp vs Xenett comparison.

    FloQast

What it is: close management for in-house finance teams on ERPs. Pricing is quote-based; third-party estimates put a median contract around $24,000 a year (Vendr, October 2026).

Choose it if you are a corporate finance team on NetSuite or similar. CA firms closing many SMEs should see FloQast alternatives for Indian CA firms.

    Verdict

For a CA firm that closes many SME clients a month on Tally or Zoho and sends an MIS, FynHelp is our pick: it reconciles without touching the ledger, shows a reason for every exception, and turns matched lines into a source-linked MIS, at a published per-client price. If your main problem is data entry into Tally, Suvit or AI Accountant fit better. If your clients are on QuickBooks or Xero, look at Xenett.

    Frequently asked questions

What is the best bank reconciliation software for CA firms in India?

It depends on where client books live and what you need after reconciliation. For Tally or Zoho firms that also send monthly MIS, FynHelp. For Tally data entry, Suvit or AI Accountant. For QuickBooks or Xero clients, Xenett.

Is there free bank reconciliation software for Tally?

TallyPrime's built-in bank reconciliation is included with the licence. FynHelp has a 14-day free trial with no card; Suvit lists a one-week trial.

Should reconciliation software post entries into Tally automatically?

It is a firm choice. Posting saves typing but puts guesses into the books. Matching without posting keeps every change with your team and a partner's review.

How much does bank reconciliation software cost for a 40-client firm?

FynHelp's Professional plan is ₹5,999 a month for 40 clients, GST included. Suvit and AI Accountant do not publish list prices; ask for a quote at your client count.
